Extremely Flexible
How work credits are earned
In addition to annual dues, each single working membership earns 5 work credits and each family membership earns 10 work credits. Our work requirements are designed to be flexible and inclusive of people at all stages of life and careers, encouraging members to help out when and where they can. Member support is key to the operation of the club!
| One playnight | 1 credit |
| Half day of a show (4 or more consecutive hours) | 1 credit |
| Full day show (8 or more consecutive hours) | 2 credits |
| Organized cleanup | 1 credit per 4 hours |
| NIO event or other arena rental (4 consecutive hours, max 2 credits per day) | 1 credit |
| Obtain a sponsor: Walk / Trot / Canter level | 1 / 2 / 3 credits |
| Grounds maintenance: weed whack, mow, drag, etc. (hours need not be consecutive) | 1 credit per 4 hours |
| Serve as an officer | 3 credits |
| Serve as a director: attend 75% of meetings, plus each playnight you direct | 1 credit + 1 each |
Members who do not complete the work requirement and want to continue in future years will be charged an additional $40 per work credit not completed the following year. For example, an individual pays $60 and earns only 1 work credit. If they sign up again the following year, their dues are $220: the $60 base plus $160 for the 4 credits not earned.
